Day 3

Seven colours of rainbow , seven sur in music …same way marriage is a beautiful journey of these seven colours n sur which make married life melodious. Marriage is what tie two beautiful people in a journey which we can 7 janam ka saath with 7 Phere or say 7 vachan…

I have also taken these 7 vachan while taking 7 phere but I seriously don’t remember word by word.

I don’t say to change these vows but little addition in todays life needed which should be not different from bride or groom but both has to take.

As Sanskrit is not understood by all So English translation of the Seven Vows that you have either taken or about to take soon:

First Phera
Groom: You will offer me food and be helpful in every way. I will cherish you and provide welfare and happiness for you and our children.
Bride: I am responsible for the home and all household responsibilities.

Additional vachan:

Both : We will share responsibility if Boy can wear apron in kitchen on weekends, girl can pay EMI of that month from salary.

Second Phera
Groom: Together we will protect our house and children.
Bride: I will be by your side as your courage and strength. I will rejoice in your happiness. In return, you will love me solely.

Additional vachan:

Both : We will not Judge each other
certain activities of partner may bother but to make a lifelong commitment we will not put each other under the scanner at every stage.

Third Phera
Groom: May we grow wealthy and prosperous and strive for the education of our children. May our children live long.
Bride: I will love you solely for the rest of my life, as you are my husband. Every other man in my life will be secondary. I vow to remain chaste.

Additional vachan :

Both: We both have friend circle before we met, we will respect each other’s friends circle & we will not drag buddies into your personal space, but allow the freedom to mingle with their group of friends.

Fourth Phera
Groom: You have brought sacredness into my life, and have completed me. May we be blessed with noble and obedient children.
Bride: I will shower you with joy, from head to toe. I will strive to please you in every way I can.

Additional vachan:

Both: We will be partners in parenthood as it’s a joint venture. We will be dividing responsibilities and tasks after the kid is born, to show equal contribution in the process of nursing and nurturing the baby.

Fifth Phera
Groom: You are my best friend, and staunchest well-wisher. You have come into my life, enriching it. God bless you.
Bride: I promise to love and cherish you for as long as I live. Your happiness is my happiness, and your sorrow is my sorrow. I will trust and honor you, and will strive to fulfill all your wishes.

Additional vachan:

Both: We will not snoop by keeping track of their Facebook or mobile activities which can wear away the trust that binds us both together. Even if there are concerns, we will discuss about them honestly with each other.

Sixth Phera
Groom: May you be filled with joy and peace.
Bride: I will always be by your side.

Additional vachan:

Both: We are giving our heart, as well as ears to each other.. To listen at time we need advice. We will try to Understand each other viewpoint, If feel the advice given is not apt, we will express later, but we will learn to listen to one another.

Seventh Phera
Groom: We are now husband and wife, and are one. You are mine and I am yours for eternity.
Bride: As God is witness, I am now your wife. We will love, honor and cherish each other forever.

Additional vachan:

Both: We are starting off a new journey, & we will treat my partner like a buddy (your partner in crime!).
