Every year, more than 1 lakh students appear for the Common Aptitude Test organized by IIMs on a rotational basis. After this exam, the qualified candidates can take admission into the postgraduate management programs offered by IIMs and many famous B-schools. The big hurdle that lies after the CAT though is the fees of the course.

The average fee for MBA courses is 5 to 6 lakhs for the 2-year program and if you wish to take admission in a good school, the average goes higher to more than 10 lakhs. If you are someone who is aspiring to take admission into the MBA courses after qualifying CAT 2018 but are worried about the tuition fee that you will have to pay for this course, then this article is going to help you a great deal. Here are a few scholarships that you can avail after qualifying your CAT 2018 for paying your MBA fees:

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme at IIM Ahmedabad: CAT 2018

IIM-A offers need-based scholarships for students who are economically weak. The scholarships are available for their PGP and PGP-ABM courses after CAT. The amount of this scholarship is based on the annual family income of the candidate. This is further of two types.

One is a fee waiver for those candidates whose family income is below 6, 00,000. Another one is IIMA Special Scholarship Scheme (ISSS) in which the candidates can apply for scholarships up to full tuition fee. This is for applicants whose annual family income was not more than 2,00, 000 during the last financial year.

Aditya Birla Group Scholarships: CAT 2018

This scholarship is for both first and second year of the course. This scholarship is completely merit-based. The selection of candidates who are eligible for getting this scholarship is decided by the Aditya Birla Group itself and they decide that on the basis of the scores obtained by these candidates in important academic examinations as well as in CAT. After the first year, if these candidates are in the top 25% of their batch, their scholarship is renewed for the second year. The amount of this scholarship is between 1.25 lakhs to 1.75 lakhs.

50% and 100% scholarships by Amity Business School: CAT 2018

This scholarship is merit-based and takes into consideration the marks obtained by the students in their class 12th examination and the aggregate score in their graduation. No other marks are considered. 50% scholarships are available for those students who had obtained an aggregate of 88% marks in their 12th board examinations of CBSE or ICSE along with 75% marks in their graduation. The marks in Class 12 exclude the marks scored in Physical Education, Fine Arts, and Performing Arts. Candidates are eligible for 100% scholarship if they score an aggregate of 93% marks or more in their 12th board examinations of CBSE or ICSE board and 80% marks in their graduation. The marks in Class 12 exclude the marks scored in Physical Education, Fine Arts, and Performing Arts.

Entrance Test based scholarship by Indus Business Academy, Bangalore: CAT 2018

This scholarship is for students who score well in their entrance examinations. The common criteria for the candidates to avail the amounts in this scholarship are 60% aggregate score in their Class 10 board examinations, Class 12 board examinations, and graduation. Based on the percentile groups, two different scholarship amounts are available that the candidates can apply for.

A scholarship of INR 40,000 will be granted to those candidates who have scored 90 percentile or above in CAT 2018/XAT 2019 or a score of 99 percentile or above in MAT (between Sep 2018 to May 2019)/ ATMA 2019/CMAT 2019. A scholarship of INR 30,000 for the candidates who score 80 percentile or above in CAT 2018/XAT 2019 or a score of 96 percentile or above in MAT (Sep 2018 to May 2019)/ATMA 2019/CMAT 2019.

Scholarship by Institute of Productivity and Management: CAT 2018

30% scholarship is awarded by this institute to those students who have secured First Division throughout their academic career. They also provide a 30% scholarship to those candidates who have participated in sports at the international level.

Scholarships by Indian School of Business, Hyderabad: CAT 2018

The institute awards scholarships to 110 candidates which are need-based as well as merit-based. The scholarship amounts are between INR 5, 00,000 to INR 10, 00,000. These scholarships are awarded in the form of fee remission to students who have performed outstandingly in their exams and are economically not very stable. Different amounts of scholarships are awarded to different people and some of them are full scholarships.
