It takes courage to step outside your comfort zone and it takes zeal and willingness to go give back to society. Few days back when I met this lady behind Nirmiti Academy – Dipti Deepak, first thing which connected me to her was her vivacious smile and attitude to learn and share more.

Hailing from a typical middle-class Marathi family in Thane, Dipti Vaidya and now known as Mrs. Dipti Deepak, broke the shackles when she envisioned becoming a businesswoman despite all the odds.

We got chance to have a quick chit chat on this women’s day sharing with my lovely readers

Q. Please share your journey from an HR professional to domestic engineer to an entrepreneur. 
Started way back in 2007 as a Gold medalist in HR from IES Management was the greatest opportunity of my career. Brave decisions of switching from HR Manager at RCOM to Training Manager at Syntel was yet the 2nd great moment. Expatriating as a trophy wife was not what I settled although it was the most gratifying time in blossoming as a mother to my lovely little kid, but decided to transcend boundaries and teach English to the French was the 3rd great achievement. And finally from just sharing the cake as a Freelance corporate trainer in 2015 back in Homeland to baking the cake to the cherries by being an entrepreneur and a boss at Nirmiti Academy with more than 750 people trained in 2.5 years has been the meanest feat.
Q. Tell us more about NIRMITI academy.
Nirmiti Academy stays true to the word and its mother purpose ‘Nirmiti’. It has stemmed from that underlying deep purpose of creating a strong platform to all those women who take a sabbatical in their prime career graph to nurture yet another life and in few years pick up their pieces to start once again. It’s that time where she could take advantage of multiscaled programs of Nirmiti Academy to boost her confidence and amp her personality. Nirmiti Academy takes great pride in creating wholesome transformational programs to such common leaders from all walks of life – Homemakers, Students, Entrepreneurs, institutions, Shapers, dreamers and more through Training, Coaching, Mentoring, Seminars, Exhibitions, and Events.

Q. What challenges you faced from family or society being a woman choosing your path from homemaker to the founder of Nirmiti?
Well, it has been a hell of a time! Despite 12 years of core training experience in Mumbai and in Paris, people today to want to know the worth of my career. The waiting game never ceases to end to be stood up at the reception for a Business meeting. To justify to people that you can make a finite difference becomes downright disrespectful and futile. Being offered a job at associate level because of the sabbatical adage to be named as lip service, the struggle of a woman to juggle her worth and roles is simply never-ending. 

Q. You are a role model for many now, who is your inspiration or role model?
It’s only befitting to state that I have many role models and just having one would take away their credit of shaping my life and purpose. As an entrepreneur, my father for his entrepreneurial spirit and huge determination to succeed as an Architect. In life, I had an opportunity to shape many minds and believe me, all those strong women have taught me life’s great lessons of love, bravery, and spirit. More in vain, I have been my biggest critic and a daily dose of inspiration. Losing my father at 16 to leading my life on my sleeve my last 20 years has been my greatest guru. Some souls in my pet, my Delhi buddy and my 7 years old have continued to baffle me and respect and love life as it comes!
Q. Any message for the reader of wigglingpen.
Cliched but practiced heavily, you are your best gift. Take it, savor it and celebrate it! Find your support system and don’t be shocked if it’s not your husband! Life is certainly a box of chocolate and you really do not know what you will get from it, so taste it and cherish every moment. Be in Now is the only mantra!  Love, feel and respect yourself as no one else otherwise will. We all are Nirmitis – beautiful, bountiful and Bravehearts! Happy Women’s day girls!
