Winter is coming – where is your jeans?

winter

Today started on a great note. I got to know that there are fleece lined jeans pants!!! Did you know that? I bet you didn’t until you read this. I am going to go the jeans online shopping right now! I mean, it makes a world of difference to me to have fleece lined jeans to my rescue in winters.

As Lord Eddard Stark said it on Game of Thrones, winter is coming and we all need to prepare. Well, getting my jeans up to date is the first step in my preparation for winter. The next step is to spruce up on my women’s winter coats.  A pair of jeans with the right winter coat is all I need to face winters.

Come to think of it, jeans are one garment that is universal in its appeal. I guess this is the only piece of clothing that is common to the whole wide world right from Antarctica to the Arabian sea. It is worn by people of all ages and from across all kinds of income levels. It is great for all seasons and reasons. Summer is a great time for jeans and so is winter. If you can avoid getting drenched in rain, then monsoon is a great time for jeans as well.

I am planning a full overhaul of my winter wardrobe. I haven’t spruced up my wardrobe for a while now. There are so many tops, tees, and dresses that will find their way out but not my jeans. I am going to retain all my jeans and get them ready for winter. Here’s how:-

Right kind of jeans – being the diehard jeans lover that I am, for me, any jeans is always right. At the same time, being sensitive to the needs of the body is important to be fashionable. There is a lot that is being offered in jeans these days. A quick check of the material used for jeans will help.

Most jeans online shopping portals give detailed information on what goes into making your jeans. It is always a good idea to read up on these details before you buy your jeans. I would personally pick up jeans that have a mix of cotton or wool in it. I will definitely check out the availability of jeans with fleece for sure. You do the same too.

Right kind of top wear – once your jeans are sorted out, the next important step is to choose the right kind of top to go with it. Since we are getting ready for winter, it’s a great idea to look for tops, tees or tunics that have long sleeves.

Oh, come on! Don’t frown! Not all tops and tees with full sleeves are routine and mundane. Check out the latest trends, cuts, and styles. There is a lot going on around the cuffs, collars, and sleeves. If you are choosing top wear in thin material then do plan for a womens winter coat, sweater, pullover or a thick muffler. If your top itself is going to be made of thick material, then pair it up with a stole.

Right kind of accessories – agreed that its winter dressing we are talking about. That doesn’t mean there is no need to accessorize. Yes, you are going to be covered from top to bottom. Still, there is room enough for accessories. I am not talking about shiny jewelry or silvery chains. I am referring to real winter stuff like caps, mittens, mufflers, socks, ear muffs, and gloves. Did you know there are fancy options available for all these items? I bet you didn’t. More about these in another post.
