This can be due to Micronutrient Deficiency.

What is Micronutrient Deficiency?

Micronutrient deficiency is the lack of essential vitamins and minerals which are required in small amounts by the body for proper growth and development.

Micronutrients include Vitamins A, B, C, and D, Calcium, Folate, Iodine, Iron, Zinc.

In India between the age group of 6-23 months, Iron deficiency is the highest. As we all know that for development of brain function and immunity Iron and Zinc play an important role.

Micronutrient Deficiency

Every parent wants their kids to be healthy and happy. Hence it is vital to know which nourishments your child needs to help give them the most ideal beginning in life.

In simple terms:

  • Ensure that you give vitamins and minerals in their daily diet.
  • Fruits are loved by kids a lot like my little one does, so please give fruits daily which are filled with micronutrients like grapes or orange.
  • Dairy products like curd, paneer or dark green vegetables should be on their menu daily.
  • A well-balanced diet is a key pointer for healthy and fit baby.

Providing vitamins and minerals enriched food or fortified grains/food is essential for overall growth of an infant.

Eating the correct nourishment from the beginning is imperative as the food kids eat can provide the building blocks for a sound body and brain.

To shield the baby from infections and ensure its proper brain development, make sure you give him/her proper diet
