Kranti with Robin Chaurasiya

Kranti

Kranti foundation was established by Robin Chaurasiya in 2011 after she left her job from the US Air Force, she decided to bring some change and giving values to our society.

Robin formed this foundation to empower children of sex workers aged 12 years to 22 years and even other women who are exploited in the Kamatipura Mumbai Red light area.

She aims to teach them in an unconventional manner to become agents of social change, providing them guidance about their rights which they are not aware of and even to overcome their upbringing and set up new paths and goals to overcome from their mental and physical sufferings.

Robin, herself being a victim of domestic violence, discrimination, and abuse, she fought back, grew up against it and so she wants to serve the society.

The daughters of sex workers, spent years in brothels, trafficked, abused, exploited and after Robin met them and showed them the path to follow their dreams with the help of education there is no stopping back.

Apart from education, there is a list of endless programs – education, therapy, art, music, etc. and when checked what is different in their curriculum it really amazing as they want to give society Community leaders with all talents and best of theirs.

Including 20 minutes of Yoga, followed by meditation, journal writing and writing one gratitude note for the day each for 20 min. They make sure to check out the news to know about the current affairs and as they don’t have Maths classes they solve puzzles to get their logics cleared.

The theme is something Kranti foundation follows every day we have- Music Monday, TEDxTalk Tuesday, Wordly Wednesdays, Thinking Thursdays and Field Trip Fridays. Field Trip Fridays would be to film festivals and to pick up the trash along with the trash pickers.

Girls from Kranti foundation are doing good and reaching out to different places to spread the colors of their dreams.
