5 Top Patriotic Bollywood films to watch on Independence day.

India is going to celebrate its 75th glorious Independence and during this time when we all are bound to stay back at home. Let’s celebrate with family and kids by watching some great iconic and patriotic Bollywood films.

Sharing my all-time top 5 patriotic Bollywood films

1. Border (1997)

Film Border was an adaptation of real-life events that happened during the Battle of Longewala in the year 1971. With star casts like- Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Jackie Shroff, Sudesh Berry, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Tabu, Raakhee, Pooja Bhatt and directed, written and produced by J.P.Dutta, is one of the best films to watch with family and kids.

2. Kesari (2019)

Directed by Anurag Singh, and star cast Akshay Kumar with Parineeti Chopra this film is must watch for kids(I highly recommend it). This film is about the actual event that happened in 1897 of the Battle of Saragarhi, a battle between 21 soldiers of the 36th Sikhs of the British Indian Army and 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen.

3. Uri(2019)

One of the most loved and action-packed films of the year 2019 casting Vicky Kaushal and a debut film of Aditya Dhar. This is based on the 2016 Uri attack and the story of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill of the Indian Army.

4. Raazi (2018)

2018, Raazi is one of the most loved and most well-made films based on the spy agents of our country who never come in front but work for our nation. Directed by Meghna Gulzar and Alia bhatt with Vicky Kaushal in the leading role. The film is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s 2008 novel Calling Sehmat, a true account of an Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent.

5. Purab aur Pashchim (1970)

Talking about patriotic films of Bollywood and I just can’t miss this all-time favorite film by Manoj Kumar, who played a lead role and directed this film. I mentioned this in the list’s last but it’s a classic film that reminds me of growing up watching how our culture and values matter a lot.
