Christmas carols are “traditional songs that are sung just before Christmas that celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ,” but there are emotions and history behind them.

Before we get ourselves indulged in this festive season with amazing carols, would love to share that according to The New Daily the first Christian hymn of the Christian church was “Angels Hymn” in 129 AD.

Carols are a very special part of Christmas and start by the first of the four Sundays before Christmas–until Christmas Day. The end of Christmas marked by the feast of Epiphany, the twelfth day of Christmas(Usually it’s the 5th of January).

5 All-time favorite Christmas Carol

1. We wish you a Merry Christmas

This is one carol we all are singing for years and I am happy to see even my kids enjoy it with same the same zeal and happiness.

2. Deck the halls.

This Carol brings so much happiness and fun while singing, have to be in my top 12 carols as it’s my daughter’s favorite too.

3. Twelve days of Christmas

The 12 days of Christmas is the period in Christian theology that marks the span between the birth of Christ and the coming of the Magi, the three wise men. This carol is really sweet and summarises the entire story.

4. Jingle bells

Be it, kids or you this one carol is everyone’s favorite and the best part is it reminds us about our loveable Santa Claus.

5. Joy to the world

This is one of the famous carols which makes you happy to enjoy and sing the celebration of the lord. I loved the lyrics and the happiness it brings.

  2. I have been hearing these carols everywhere these days. The just love this time of the year. Stores decorated with Christmas tress, carols played everywhere, it fills the environment with festive vibes.

  17. Jingle Bells and Joy to the World are our all-time favs. We even enjoy “jingle bell rock”. The joy and positivity these carols spreads are far far better than loud bhajans.
