It’s always said that daughters are mother reflection but in my case, I’m carbon copy of my dad but yes my never saying no attitude and spirit to take up challenges is inherited by my mom.
I really believe in ~
life doesn’t come with a manual
it comes with mother!!
This mother day when FBB given me a chance to atleast look a like a bit like my mom, I really don’t want to miss this golden chance and selecting one look like her would be not enough so my partner in crime since from childhood my sister Nishi di, I planned with her to cover and recreate and let her relive her journey of life.
Cherry on the cake was my mausi who happily joined us to make this fun filled Mother’s Day more fun & crazy.
Join the Era of my mom :
This pic is of my mom from the year 1952 & me in 1979 & now in 2017 we look like this .. we have one common thing “Smiling ? face”
In 1965 when my Mausi “Smt Amita Srivastava” was born my mom got her secret keeper and they bonded and when I digged in old albums I got this adorable picture of them and thought why not to recreate the magic of this bond of love and let my mom and mausi relive that moment after years.
With 2 pleats my mom & beautiful big eyes little girl my mausi, my mom & mausi relived that moment sharing some old stories about this pic. We both sisters got ready in same way to show them how would we look in same pose and look.
When I was small & used to see this pic with big pot and lehnga of mom always used to laugh and wished to get dressed like same. This pic was clicked by my late dad in 1970 after marriage and it’s very close to mom’s heart so I selected this pic to recreate with mom’s lehenga only & her jewellery.
Superb part was my mausi had school program and she danced wearing this lehenga in her school and so my sister recreated her look.
Moving down to memory lanes I found this pic of year 1997 and we couldn’t resist to create magic once again.
Being bonded and connected and to stand in tough time together is what I learned from my family and from my mother.
Connection from heart to heart like my mom & my mausi share I think we sisters share the same.
This Mother’s Day as my mausi always treated us like her daughters I cannot think wishing only my mom a very happy Mother’s Day but my mausi too who proved on every step that yes Mausi means “Maa Jaisi”.
Thanks #BlogStar and FBB for giving me opportunity to pour my heart out and do little bit to bring smile on their faces and trust me recreating moments really brought magic!!
